Apparently this is made of old denim jeans…….pretty cool. I had this in the walls of my studio in Sydney.
Whisper quiet. It can do your head in too if you come from a loud place into this quite one.
Two ideas that were briefly entertained before our studio refurbishments.
Hope no-one has asthma in the unrendered straw bale. It reminds me of M Wards studio in portland. He has cats everywhere, so anyone allergic to cats cannot record there. That excludes me. Doh!
Nathan Martin is the builder who will be refurbishing our studio in Bellingen.

The Mid North – Bluegrass, Old-timey, Mountain band are in to record their second album with us. !5 songs that will be recorded mostly live, with some overdubs. These guys have a such great harmonies. Should be fun.
“Hoopla Doopla” starts next Monday the 10th at 10:10am. Promos are running at the moment and the first ep on Monday starts with ep 1 Upsy Daisy and will run 7 days a week for 51 days (one ep was pulled for fear of kids mimicking a stunt).
The Mid North are recording their second album with Noiselab. The first album went on to win ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Country Song of the Year’ 2012 in the NCEIA awards. The new 14 track album will start in Feb 2014 and is due for completion in March 2014. (click to watch them live) 
Noiselab have just completed music composition and sound design for ABC’c new series Hoopla Doopla. The 52 episode series is a co-production between ABC TV and CCTV (China Childrens TV).
We spent 7 months crafting exciting and unique tracks for this project. We were given free-reign with music direction, which was very exciting. We crafted over 100 different tracks plus the high energy theme song. We also sound designed the entire 52 episode series. It was a great 7 months. 
We have just finished producing, recording and mixing the Bury Me Deep album by Vic Manuel. He is such a talented songwriter and great performer. It was a pleasure working with him. You can hear the results at: (click)
